"If these spices kill me I'm going straight to Mihos and asking him for vengeance against your culinary psychopath of a sister." -Ajiin

Updates Wednesdays, barring circumstances that force me to not update on Wednesdays.

This is the world of Langley's Ark, a place where mad science and magic meet. Here, the rulers of the underworld are real and rather sarcastic people, pirates and other villains are considered the least of the nuisances, and a poor skimmer captain may find anything from 'mancy storms that drag up kraken to an island full of elves looking for the next sacrifice to their dark gods. The online novel follows the adventures of twins Langley and Sabreur and their misfit crew as they sail around their world trying to scrape together a living, stay out of trouble, and generally failing at both. Oh, and it totally has undead penguins.

Not the best chapter I've written but I will say it sets up very nicely for some fun for the next chapter. I hit a good stopping point and well, the starting line of the next chapter will be great, I promise.

Okay! I updated, despite being home for Christmas with nothing to distract me but World of Warcraft! Actually, have you ever tried to level a priest? It's hellish. I don't care what they say about shadow priests being able to level well, yes, they can be powerful, but every other class I play still levels half as painfully as my priest. If I didn't like playing a priest so much I would have quit long ago. But getting five instance invites in one day is a nice feeling. Aaaaanyway. New storyline. This one should be interesting... I've got a hazy idea of what all is going to happen and that's about it. Yay!

Talk about being kicked while you're down. I've had a lot of bad stuff thrown my way recently. A lot. But I'm starting to recover from it all and part of that is going to be getting back into writing. I've always been a creative person and it's like part of me is missing when I'm not actively pursuing a project. I have Fae Wars, yes, but Langley's Ark has always been something I could share with others, unlike Fae Wars that I keep locked away while I work on it. Also, Langley's Ark is close to 100 chapters. It's hard to tell because my numbering scheme differs from the two locations I keep it in but I say it's close enough to start working on something. Survivor. Langley's Ark style. The Avatars vs. the Ark. I'll have to read up on the rules because I've never actually watched the show, but I've got an idea and it should be funny.

Okay, it was real hard to finish this storyline up. I think I'm a bit burned out right now. So I'm going to take a break for a little while - just a little while - before continuing on with the twins and what mayhem they're causing on the high seas. Just look at this as a chance to get caught up for some of you.

Biweekly update schedule for a little while. Sorry. But I need time for real life stuff too. Real life being World of Warcraft.

News (9/12)
I wonder if I should go to a bi-weekly update schedule. It'd give me more time to write and readers more time to stay caught up with updates. Hmmm. I know webcomics out there that have even worse update schedules than mine and they still have a following. Course, they also have awesome art... but I have undead penguins. And firebombs.

Forum is down again. I'm at a loss at this point how to keep the spambots out. Well, I do have some ideas... it's just a matter of figuring out how to code them in. Anyway, chapter is up. It was actually done yesterday but I didn't upload it as DeviantArt wasn't working properly and I wanted to load everything at one time.
