Updates every other Sunday, barring circumstances that force me to not update on Sundays.

This is the world of Langley's Ark, a place where mad science and magic meet. Here, the rulers of the underworld are real and rather sarcastic people, pirates and other villains are considered the least of the nuisances, and a poor skimmer captain may find anything from 'mancy storms that drag up kraken to an island full of elves looking for the next sacrifice to their dark gods. The online novel follows the adventures of twins Langley and Sabreur and their misfit crew as they sail around their world trying to scrape together a living, stay out of trouble, and generally failing at both. Oh, and it totally has undead penguins.

There are THREE chapters up. Check carefully before you start reading, kay? I'm also working on a story guide so that anyone new to this story won't have to go back through 100+ chapters to get caught up. It's slow-going. And as always... DeviantArt is the way to keep track of what I'm doing. Cause I'm bad about updating this site.

Updated on time. This is a good sign. So I went shopping today and got some new toys. I got a scanner and cheap $7 USB greenhouse. Guess which one is out of the box and installed already? Yep. The greenhouse. I got priorities.

Pay attention to this. There are TWO chapters up, the one I had on DA but forgot to ever upload here, and this week's. I'm gonna stick to a Sunday update plan as that seems to work well with my job and new-found social life. And no, this social life does not include World of Warcraft. That is still in my list of things that eat up my time and I'd be better off without but gosh darnit, I want to kill Yogg!

If you're not checking out my DeviantArt account I suggest you do. It tends to stay more up to date than this webpage. Anyway, I'm noticing a trend with my writing. Before, I would update on Wednesdays cause... I dunno. That was what worked. Unfortunately, with some recent changes in where I live, work, and the addition of a guy I like that's changed. I might swap to a weekend update as I really am not getting started on this stuff as early in the week as I used to. I'll shoot for updating Sundays and see how that goes.
I'm also trying to coordinate three computers right now. Yes, three. I need to work out some kind of system so I don't keep sitting down with my laptop, Freya, and realize that the latest version of Langley's Ark is still on my desktop, Morrigan, and give up and just go to bed to work on it tomorrow.

Well, you know how it goes. You meet this guy, hit it off really well, go for a nice romantic walk on the boardwalk and then BAM - you see the zombies. So you hijack the so-called replica of the Santa Marie in the harbor even though it looks more like a kid's toy blown up to 1/2 scale of an actual ship and start to make good your escape until you realize that the seagulls are hostile and armed with lasers. After that molotov cocktails seem like the only solution and after everything is on fire and screaming you make your escape in a high-speed car chase and realize this was the best date you could ever hope for.
Well, maybe not. But I did go on a date on the day I was supposed to be editing and posting the latest Langley's Ark chapter. Then I got lazy. But it's up. And if you watch my DA account, and you really should, you will be happy to know that I plan to get another installment of the vampire crew up there once it's been proofread. And by proofread, I mean, make sure there's no glaring errors like I've changed the main character from having brown hair to black again. Amazingly, no one has called me on that yet, despite repeated mistakes.
Just don't expect it tomorrow. I'm going on another date tomorrow and I can't guarantee I'll have enough energy left to proofread anything after fighting off the ninjas.

I sort of lost track of what week it was. Then I started a new job, which is going quite well. A refreshing change from my prior hell of a work place. Anyway, I got the next chapter up and I will say - I did not plan to do anything REMOTELY like what happens in this installment. It just happened. And now you, me, and the crew of the Ark have to deal with it. *evil grin goes here*
And just once I would like to edit this page without screwing something up and having to go back and fix it.

According to my DeviantArt account this it the 100th episode of Langley's Ark. I suppose I should have some big emotional outpouring, but honestly, I just like writing. And I'm going to keep writing. Even though readership is low and this is never going to achieve fame or publicity, it's fun to write. And I hope its fun for those of you that read it. So enjoy today's chapter and here's to many more!
